At the beginning of June, I got to shoot maternity photos for Emilee & Drew close to the Poudre River trail and Old Town Fort Collins. They are expecting a little girl in the next couple of weeks, and I am VERY excited to be shooting newborn photos as well! Let me just say, I LOVED this maternity shoot. Emilee had requested we do more of an "engagement" style shoot, versus focusing on the typical "belly shots." It was super fun, and I think I like shooting the engagement style almost more because it captures the relationship during such a monumental time. You see the personalities come out, like Drew constantly trying to poke her belly. Emilee also had some great ideas for the shoot, including incorporating a chair in a field, baby shoes, and adding a CSU baby bib since both her and Drew are CSU Alumni. I appreciate it when my clients can think outside the box and help make their session unique to them. What a fun summer evening!
At the beginning of June, I had the honor of shooting some maternity photos for some dear friends of mine. Ryan and Bailey are a very unique couple. Bailey absolutely loves all things "rocks" and geology related, as well as anything fuzzy including all animals from guinea pigs to rabbits to their big furry dog "Bear," and Ryan is a mountain man who loves adventure. We know the baby will both sweet and adventurous! Bailey and Ryan are extremely cute together, and I enjoyed the baby banter as we strolled through the Denver Botanical Gardens. We went on our very own adventure as we admired the 100 year old-bonsai trees, hidden gardens, and the Colorado RainForest ;). If you haven't been there, you really have to check it out! Some of my favorite sessions include exploring places that are out of the ordinary, and this was definitely one of them. We also walked through Cheesman Park on our way home and captured some mountains in the background.
