Kelli & Garrett {Breckenridge Wedding & Engagement Photographer}

I had the honor of shooting engagement photos for Kelli & Garret a few weeks ago.  Kelli is a Southern Belle originally from Tennessee, and Garrett is a Colorado mountain man from our very own Summit County.  Both of them have lived in Summit County over the last few years after finishing college, and originally met while involved in an awesome church community in Breckenridge (Agape Outpost).  Kelli & Garrett have a unique story in that they spent the last six months in Kenya serving the African community.  They had a chance to work with children and better the communities by living day to day with the people.  Throughout that, you can only imagine the journey they have been on together at this point.  Excitingly enough, their actual engagement was on Mt. Kilimanjaro after a multiple day trek and 6-month stint of hiding the engagement ring (fortunately Kelli never went on a treasure hunt for the ring!).  How special! Seriously,  how many people can say they were proposed to on top of one of the most amazing mountains in the world? Anyways, our shoot went well after getting through some very cold weather.  We enjoyed trekking through snow (I got to wear snowshoes!), watching Dredge (the puppy) leap through the endless amounts of powder, displaying antique suitcases and signs, climbing aboard the very fitting Colorado & Southern (Saw the No Climbing sign AFTER our shoot...Felt kinda bad!), and getting some last minute shots backing Breckenridge Ski Resort.  What a fun afternoon; I am going to miss these guys once they officially move to Music City {Nashville, TN} before their wedding in June.
