Jenna & Enich | YMCA of the Rockies Wedding | Estes Park, CO | Colorado Wedding Photographer

Can I just start out by saying that I love the beauty involved with mountain weddings? It seriously just doesn't get any better than this. Jenna chose such beautiful vibrant colors that completely complimented the bluebird day. The pinks, oranges and purples....Maybe I am just biased because I go crazy about color, but seriously, I think I just want to eat her bouquet. The details were incredible once again, and she stuck with an arrow theme. The day was beautiful, not too hot and not too cold. Jenna anticipated her first look with Enich, and it was such a blessing to see such an emotional moment between the two with the Rocky Mountains glimmering in the background. Their laid back YMCA wedding was such a treat to be a part of, and I absolutely loved getting to know Jenna over the last year :).

Lindsey & Lucas | Wild Basin Lodge Wedding | Allenspark, CO | Estes Park Wedding Photographer

A little sneak peek of Lindsey & Lucas's Wild Basin Lodge Wedding on Mother's Day. We had a little snow sprinkle (yes, in May!) that added the coolest effects to the photos. The fog over the mountain truly made for a spectacular view as well. It was a little muddy, but Lindsey and Lucas were up for playing in the mud and humoring me throughout :). The day was perfect as family and friends witnessed true love at it's finest. Thank you Lindsey & Lucas for letting me be such a big part of your big day! It truly was a blessing.

Rachel & Tim | Mary's Lake Lodge Wedding | Estes Park Wedding Photographer

A beautiful May day with this lovely couple. Rachel and Tim were a blast to work with. They are actually an out-of-state couple from Nebraska, and just knew that they wanted to get married in the beautiful Colorado mountains. Rachel is just as sweet as southern sweet tea, and was so awesome throughout the entire time we were working together over the last year. We had a little bit of rain and a little bit of shine; exactly what Colorado weddings are! Congratulations you two, and thank you for letting me share such a special day with you all.

Kat & Luc | Summit County Wedding Photographer | Idaho Springs | Breckenridge | Rocky Mountain Styled Shoot

Occasionally "us" photographers get to plan and participate in styled shoots. This particular one was the doing of an awesome photography group I'm involved with in Colorado called the Pursuit Community. I went on a weekend retreat a few weeks ago where we got to get back to our "roots" per se, and really talk about our businesses and personal lives, as well as spend some time in worship and community. It was an awesome weekend, and I walked away with so many new friendships. Photography can sometimes be a lonely profession when you're not out and about shooting weddings and what not during the weekdays, so getting to collaborate and network with other amazing creatives like myself was such a blessing. It's so funny, because we are all incredibly different, but incredibly alike as well. I definitely found a group of ladies who share similar passions, struggles and lives.

The cool thing about this couple was that they were the worship leaders for our retreat. They actually lead worship at Lifebridge Christian Church in Longmont, so this wasn't their first rodeo ;). Anyways, this photo shoot was a special treat for them because they did not have the most amazing wedding photos, and they look back to that day wishing they did. It's such a testament to the fact that wedding photography is SOOOO important. Now that life is busy and bustling with their twins, it was even more special to step aside and have some photos for themselves. I think my favorite part was hearing Luc sing "Maaaarrrrrrrrryyyyy Meeeeeee" (as all of the lady photographers said YES! with no hesitation---Yes, I heard you Mrs. Kraft, haha). It was pretty funny. Anyways, thank you ladies, and Kat & Luc for such an amazing weekend!
